Default Time for something big!

Alright everybody...it's time to go big!

I'm planning on buying a lift and new wheels here real soon. I'm going with a 4" or 6" lift and 20x12 wheels with my current 35" Trail Grapplers!

My truck currently has a leveling kit and 35" Trails on. I'm 6'7, so it would be nice to have a somewhat bigger truck that is a little taller than I am!

Now, I need opinions on what size lift everybody recommends. I know there are other threads on this topic, but it's always nice to hear more opinions!

I have a tuner that would help reprogram the computer to accommodate a new lift and such. I have a budget of $2000 - $3000.

I've heard BDS is the best overall, but I'd like to hear other opinions!

Thanks!

Sounds like you pretty much have it figured out! The 4" or 6" debate is kind of personal preference. I have a 3" lift myself with Icon coilovers and 35s, and I'm totally satisfied with that. Sometimes I wish I would've stepped up to a bigger lift but for a daily driver a 3" or 4" lift is what I'd prefer. Either way you cant go wrong, it will look great

Can you provide a picture of your setup? Also, details on the icon lift? im not too familiar with this.

If you're looking for a noticeable difference in the height of the truck do a 6".

If you're just looking for a subtle change going from a 2.5 to a 4 is the way to go.

Either way the truck will ride better. I went from 2.5 to 4" and love it!

what he says. 4" looks the best to me, 6" puts more strain on everything. I have lifted or leveled every 4wd truck since 1972 so I know for a fact. Owned GM, Ford and Toyota so they all need extra care after lifts and bigger tires. Can you say pinion seals, u-joints and brakes more often to name a few. By the way, I leveled my 2013 F150 with a AS 1.5" level and gained a hair over 2".
