Is it a question of wanting to or needing to? What problem does replacing the TB solve for you?

just curious as to the fitment. just saw a guy online selling one for really cheap and it was more or less just curiosity on my end. not buying it, but if it worked and was better than the OEM 5.0 TB i would consider it.

Guess that depends on what you mean by "better" than your original. Any compatible TB will still be controlled by the computer, and the computer will seek the air intake amount that corresponds to its tune, so if you want the TB to work "better," get a tuner and a custom tune file.
