I say go for it. If there are no markings on the truck indicating it's a 2WD then nobody will know anyhow.

Better to go up than down, just my opinion. However, I don't know how that will appeal to people if you ever decide to sell it. I also don't see the need to call someone a douche because they have a different opinion. This thread was intended fo peoples opinion, what's the point if everybody says the same thing.

I wasn't refering to you specifically when I said douche. If you read back to my orginal post you will understand. I apologize if it appears that way. And you are right, he was asking for opinions. I just didnt want him to not mod his truck and make it the way he wants because of those opinions. The truth is there is absolutely nothing wrong with lifting a 2x4. What is your reasoning for lifting a 4x4?

i dont do 4x4 any more ,back in the day i used to lift them to have fun in the mud,but i tend to break stuff witch cost alot of money to fix .I dont have a practical reason to have a 4x4 so i got a 2wd this time an i am more than happy with it.

Do it!!

Doesn't matter what you have, 4X4 or 4X2. Who cares. I would love to lift my 4X2 but gotta chill out, it's my first truck.

Remember it's your truck, not ours.

I say go for it it looks a hell of a lot better. You can still have fun and drive over stuff with a 2wd. Mine's 4x4 I leveled it and put bigger tires on to make it look like a truck. I don't go off roading much might play in the mud here or there. I have a 4x4 in case I need it, mainly for winter and still I only use it when it gets really bad out.

Lift it! Me and my buddy both have leveled 2wds and we've been through, stuck, and in more mud than nearly everyone's 4x4 we know. The 4x4 "purists" will ridicule you a bit, but just remember, you're getting better mpg's, spending less on maintenance, and not worrying about leaking front axles and crap like that.

Pavement pounders be damned!
