Just ordered my wifi OBD2 plug and looking forward to using this app. I haven't checked in detail enough but I hope it shows boost.

DashCommand does not have anywhere the features that Torque does. I was duped and paid the $50 for it along with $100+ for the dongle that you need to use as Bluetooth doesn't work with a non jailbroken iPhone or iPad. I sold the dongle within a few weeks and ditched the iPhone too.

I used their forum and all support areas they had and never was able to get clear answers on anything to any of my issues with it. Hopefully in the last year or so they have improved it because it was a joke the last time I used it.

I disagree here. You can't discredit the app for you buying the Bluetooth version instead of the wifi version that works with non JB iPhones and as for the support forum it seems great to me. I posted a question on which OBD2 plug to buy and got excellent feedback within the hour. Maybe now they have a lot more members than before when you used it though.

Where did I say I bought the Bluetooth version? I bought the Kiwi Wifi adapter that 90% of all of those that use that app use. I simply stated that iPhones will not communicate with OBD2 Bluetooth devices unless they are jailbroken, and as a result, you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for one.

I paid $25 bucks for the Bluetooth adapter and the Torque app combined and it has 10 times the features and functions that the $150+ dollar combination of DashCommand and the Wifi device ever had.

The gauge customization, datalogger, Ready/Not Ready codes, output to Excel and other formats, and the plethora of support out there for it is so much better than DashCommand. I also noticed lag with updating things via DashCommand and the Wifi dongle that I don't have at all with Torque and the Bluetooth dongle.

I used DashCommand and Rev (another option for iPhone) both for almost a year on my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT, my 2011 EB FX2, and my wife's 2010 Edge. I was never able to get it to work how I would like or get any support from those that made it. It took less than 15 minutes of use and playing around with settings in Torque to make it work how I wanted it.

It's unfortunate that Torque hasn't chosen to or hasn't been able to put their app out to the Apple folks. They are missing out some awesome features for a fifth of the price.

The app is $9.99 now and a elm327 wifi OBD2 adapter only costs $20-30 from amazon. Torque might have been a fifth of the amount back then but now it's pretty comparable. I'm looking forward to checking this out when I get my adapter in the mail. For those not Jailbroken or on android it's worth a look.

Just be prepared to send that ELM one back is all I'm saying. Those that I saw that had that one and as others have mentioned in this thread as well, that ELM one did not work very well and had lag and update and consistency issues in the past. Hopefully they have worked those out and it proves to be better for you though

I should have the adapter by Wednesday. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Hopefully it's been updated to work better from the time you used it.

I got an elm327 of amazon and it has worked beautifully. But reports vary so who knows. Sometimes cheap Chinese crap is just that!

Did you have any trouble getting it to connect? After I plug it in it says OBD-ll Error , OBD-ll interface not found
