Did Ford put a clear protective film over the brushed aluminum dash panels?

I noticed a clear film starting to peel off my aluminum dash panel on my 13 Platinum. Can I peel it off?

Can you post a pic of what it looks like?

Is it the protective film they put on them for shipment?

That's what I'm thinking, but I'm afraid to pull it off without confirming first.

I'll try to get a pic.

I pulled mine off after delivery since make ready left it all or most of it on. It was pretty obvious to me that it wasn't meant to be on there forever. It looks much better now.

Looks like the protective plastic you see on many metals (notably my new SS fridge). I'd pull it off unless you want the added protection that it offers up.
