Be glad you didn't do it yourself! After doing 2 4 door pickups, my fingers were practically raw from pulling leather and getting it tightened

Good quality though just a PITA the first time. That's why I did my dad's first

At your age I'd have expected your fingers to be capable of pulling indefinitely..

Yup, the seats are awesome and worth some pain. I'm lucky I can do that stuff myself. I'm sure the day will come when I still want to but I am unable to. No shame in getting a pro to do it! You're still making your ride unique and better than factory.

...and thanks again to the OP for bringing up this source of consoles! Apologies for the derailment.

but being a Heavy equipment operator for over 35 years, hands are not what they once was.....lol...since 5 yrs ago.......

A console should be a requirement if you put leather in. That was the biggest PITA in the whole process and I still don't think it looks right

Well, I for one think the flow through console looks best, followed by the XLT console, followed by the jump seat. The jump seat is last even when slathered in soft soft katzkin.

I agree 100% as we have flow through in our FX4 the wife's truck, but my katzkin leather is wayyyyyyy nicer then her stock ford leather captian's seats.

But i get so many Compliments on my Interior and truck it really dosen't matter to me I have the most Options you can get on a XLT, so its Comfey truck!! id say the only thing I miss is the shifter in the console.

But I'll be hiding one of my alpine amps in the console, so it works for me!.....lol

For those looking for an XLT center console-image-306034754.jpg

painted and love it, was a lil pricey 315 total and 16 for the 2 paint cans. Self tapping screws are possible, but would def. take bolts out of seat and pull back makes easier for screws$clean up

Question: can you get Chrome trim rings for the cup holders on the console???

The other thing I want to do is put leather and padding on the lid like the King ranch and do an Oval with XTR in it and stiching on both sides.......should look good i think.........plus i might raise the console so its a better arm rest......lol

Cheers

Grant
