Thinking of upgrading to SYNC 3 and replace MyFordTouch
You know you do have 18 fm presets not just 6 (3 screens of 6). It is somewhat of a pain to switch from the last one back to the first but it will do it the same way every time.
I also had sync 3 in a 17 f250 I owned for 6 months. It was a little more responsive but I didn't find it to be that much better, hence why I haven't switched to it in my 14.
I also wish I had your money to be able to switch vehicles all because I don't like one function on the radio.

I have a 2013 King Ranch F150 which has the MyFordTouch. I just bought the truck as a ford certified unit. Love the truck with the exception of the MyFordTouch (hence why I am looking at the SYNC 3 system). How has the steering wheel seek/scan feature worked with the replaced SYNC 3 system? Can you seek/scan by hitting the forward or back scan button? Or do you have to still hold it down to seek / scan (which is a complete abortion of a control feature as it never works properly).
Just checked my 13 FX4 that I converted to SYNC 2 (MyFordTouch) to SYNC 3, the steering wheel buttons jump from one present to the next, and do not seek to the next radio station. I believe this is how they are designed as I was not able to seek with SYNC 2 nor SYNC 3. On my 2006 Lariat, you were able to seek via the steering wheel, which is a feature I miss.....you we're also able to change the heat/ac temperature & fan speed....talk about being ahead of the times....
