Thinking through exhaust
Been back and forth on an exhaust. I want to do it, then I get side tracked and leave it alone. Well I am back to contemplating again and have some new options that I am trying to decide on and would like some thoughts. I am thinking about doing a cutout and running a Flowmaster Outlaw off of it. Does anyone see an issue with this and should I go 2.5" or 3"?
Thanks
Thanks

He does have it in the profile, press on Jdm.
Exhaust systems are so personal, what one person hears as drone, others don't. Id suggest searching utube for samples.
As for how big, bigger is not always better as it needs some back pressure for torque. Id stick with factory size and just look for the right muffler.

A straight through muffler with 2.5 or 3 inch outlet and exhaust pipe and you will be set for the best performing system. At least a system that doesnt choke power down. If you want deeper sound go 3". Engine Masters just did a good episode testing more than 20 mufflers on motor trend on demand.
I have a 5.0
I've seen people on the forums saying to go 3" or that they wished they hadn't gone 2.5". They were running no muffler after the cutout though. I think I will go with the 3" cutout into a 3" muffler and call it a day.
