I am saving 5 thousand dollars plus Ford had been really crappy service to me when it came to 2010 f150.

I had a Tacoma that I traded in on my F150. I had some major rust issues and Toyota Corporate treated me like a piece of crap. I'm sure the rust issues are non existent on the newer trucks, but after that **** poor customer service my opinion on Toyota has changed. Good luck with your purchase.

I looked at the Tundra Platinum before I bought my F-150 Platinum. The interior of the Tundra was severely lacking behind the Ford in way of technology and refinements. It's a nice truck, but for a Platinum name, it should have EVERYTHING.

Nobody here REALLY cares if you buy a Toyota, we care if you buy a Ford. Do what you want. coworker of my dad's had a Toyota and averaged 12.3 all day long. It may be more reliable in some cases, but man is it a step down.
I can tell you that the only thing an F-150 Platinum and a Tundra Platinum have in common is the name.

My dad has a TRD Tundra with the 5.7. It definitely has a ton of power, mpg is poor. My 5.4 F150 does better on gas but doesn't have that instant feedback in throttle response like the Tundra.
Driving both regularly..both have pros and cons....don't think you can wrong with either

I have a 11 EB 4x4 SCREW and am getting about 16mpg average.
The interiors on the Fords are 10x better than the Tundras and there is no doubt that the Tundra is quick, but the reason why I bought the Tundra when I did was re-sale value. I kept it for 3.5 years and traded it in with 90K on it and got 20K on trade against dealer cost for the new vehicle I was getting.
I doubt that my F-150 will hold 65% of its original purchase price three years from now with that mileage.
