Default Thinking about running 40's, good or bad idea?

I have 37's on a BDS 6 inch lift and 2 inch procomp level. They look good but I think the 40's will look even more badass. That being said I know I will have to do gears, still running stock 3.73. But anything else I should be aware of, or watch out for? Just for more info. I do very little off roading, on pavement 90% of the time.....don't care about gas milage or road noise....... Any info will help, thanks.

With the gears, I would definitely look at a beefier tie-rod and ball joint setup if I were you. Even sticking with 37's, that would be something on my list pretty quickly, even on pavement. Just my .02

Definitely would look into a uniball setup, HD tierods, Steering braces, and a lifetime hub assembly replacement plan.

^^this. I would be reluctant to even consider 37's but its not my truck- so if you're thinking 40's just make sure you beef up anything you can. Good luck and show us what it looks like when you're done
