About a year ago I bought gloss black door handle covers for my very faded black textured door handles. They look good enough, but the adhesive on at least two different handles is becoming loose.
I'd like to completely replace the handles and not just do covers. I've seen gloss black replacement assemblies and primed PTM assemblies.
I've seen a few threads about upgrading to the driver door keypad handle if the truck didn't come with it as well--I might pursue that option as well.
Anyone done this and can speak to the results and how much it all cost? Perhaps also which brand of replacement door handles to go with?
Paint them. Remove the handle, sand the texture finish as smooth as you can, clean the surface, spray adhesion promoter, prime with a high build primer, sand primer smooth up to 600 grit and paint whatever color you like.
