Default Thin upper control arm

Is it just me or are the upper control arms getting thinner? It seems like they were beefier on my 08 FX4. The cab side of the arm seems real thin to me.

Everything is getting thinner to cut grams from the weight of the vehicle. Have you noticed how the skin of the door almost buckles when you close it??

I agree they look pretty thin on the 09-11's... but if you want to upgrade them, a set of uniball upper control arms are beefier and will improve the ride in many ways. I have been running a set for 6+ years and can honestly say it is some of the best money I spent on the truck.

U think the metal is thin now - wait till the 2014 f150 "feather weight" comes out 2 satisfy those great 2014 truck government "cafe" standards - Our 09 -12 trucks are no more than interim goals getting us down 2 Prius weight levels
