Default Are these issues correlated?

I have a 2010 platinum f-150 with the 5.4, and I started having issues when a caliper locked up. I replaced the caliper then a week later it locked up again but I realized I could free it if I loosened the bleeder so I replaced the brake hose. This fixed the caliper situation but then I started loosing brake fluid which at first I thought was because I messed up but I couldnt find any leaks. The truck was also smoking and it turned out the master cylinder leaked into the brake booster and the vacume line was sucking in brake fluid. I replaced the master cylinder and brake booster but then the engine was making a very inconsistent rattling noise and was still smoking. I did an oil change and the smoke went away but the rattle is still there. I assume the the smoke was brake fluid stuck in the exhaust or something but im more worried about the rattle because it sounds like a timing chain. Im going to take it to a shop to get diagnosed but my question is weather or not this stuff is all related.
