MAN! There are times when driving during the day that the sunlight coming off all of the chrome pieces in the Lariat interior seem to catch every sun ray and bounce it right into my eyes. The chrome rings around the vents and the top of the shifter seem to be the worst offenders.
I've gotten to the point where I keep a small washcloth to drape over the shifter and console trim to limit the glare.
Wouldn't this trim be as nice in a brushed stainless/aluminum finish instead of CHROME!!!!
Anyone else notice this?

Try having a 2&1/2' x 1&1/2 chrome Hood Louver with the sun beaming down on it.... Talk about Blinding...

I like the chrome touches on the interior of my FX4. Really classes it up IMO.

What he said. Go in straight lines with the scotch bright to etch in the brushed pattern, then shoot a little matte clear over it. That'll cut the shine way down and give you a nice finish

Agree with HC, np 's with the chrome on my vents or door pulls.... My front windows are tinted as well, maybe that helps!

More info? Would this work on the painted silver vent trim pieces to make it look like the platinum pieces?
