Default theoretically speaking about frame damage

Ok, I know I have been posting lots of threads on this topic already. Before I found out that the F150 has a three piece frame and the rear frame piece is being replaced, I thought the bodyshop was going to just straighten out the rear end frame horns (rear tips). Now, theoretically speaking if that was done (straightening tips)would it still be ok to tow a trailer of about 5000lbs? Would it have been safe? Would it have been strong still?

Buddy... I know it sucks, but relaxxxx. Everything will be fine. Your truck will not be any lesser of a truck (minus the diminished value.) They will replace the rear frame and make it right. Nothing about your towing capacity will change. There are hundreds of thousands of trucks that get fixed and are fine... Your repair is not something abnormal and is pretty straight forward. Just wait it out, get it back, and deal with any issues IF there are any issues at that time. You're worrying yourself sick.

Agreed, my dad bought an 06 f150 and had it for 2 days (134) miles on it when a ford focus decided to run a stop sign. He t-boned the focus and did 12k in damage the passenger side tow hook was almost to where the license plate goes. They fixed it all up and made everything right. My dad was pissed that they didn't total it and stuff since it was brand new etc. but he put just under 100k on that truck problem free and he beat the ever living daylight outta that thing! Don't worry you can sleep at night...

Replacement of a section is stronger. Just as good as new.
