Default Telescopic mirrors?

Hi guys

New to the forum and I have a question about the telescopic mirrors available on the F-150. I recently factory ordered an FX2, it will be arriving in 8 weeks. I did my homework and chose everything I wanted down to the last detail. Everything went smoothly except I was unable to order telescopic mirrors. I was told they're only available if you get a certain towing package. This package forces you to also get the V6 engine which I did not want (got the 5 liter). So I figured it shouldn't be too hard to order OEM telescopic mirrors and install them on the truck once I receive it. Thing is, the telescopic mirrors I've found for sale look different then the telescopic mirrors I have seen on Ford's website.

This is a pic of telescopic mirrors available for the 2013 F-150 I found on Ford's website

They look quite a bit more detailed than anything I've seen for sale

Thanks for the help

They're like 1500-2000 from the dealer, plus you have to get the proper switches to enable the power fold/extend! Not a cheap add on.... A member recently sold a set for around a grand at his loss as he gave up trying to install them!

Thanks! That's an incredibly expensive add on

I found these on eBay. They're genuine Ford parts, yet they look different...

Those are the previous model tow mirrors, and the ones that still come standard on XLT's! No power fold/extend on those! But serve the same purpose

Thanks for all the info!

Have you heard of another way to get them factory installed or is the towing option (with ecoboost V6) the only way?

Either set will work and install easy no questions asked! Only the newer SD stay you'll need a separate switch for the power fold/extend function!

If your set on the look of those they'll work like the others, except instead of having power fold/extend! You'll have to manually do it like the previous cheaper version!

Both versions have power glass, heated mirror, blinker, and puddle lamps! As well as capability to manual fold/extend....

I'm set on the look of the newer style telescopic mirrors. The ones you said costed 2 grand from the dealership to install.

But is that the only way? To shell out 2 grand at the dealership after the truck has been delivered? Other than opting for the tow package (with ecoboost v6), theres no way around this?

Might get lucky, randomly checking Ebay, or 4 sale section on the Forum!
