So, I have this starting problem with my 2012 F150 XLT. When I put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the on position, there is this tapping/clapping sound coming from behind the dashboard. It also happens when the engines is running for about 1.5 to 2 minutes then goes away. It does not happen all the time. Twice already when I turn the key to start all the lights turn on but it does not crank at all. Tried again and it starts. Anyone have any idea what's going on.
