Default Talk me out of buying an F250 diesel

This is my 4th thread in 2 days...please be patient with me, as I am growing frustrated trying to find a 2012 f150 I want. Now I almost don't even want to buy a truck.

I have always LOVED the f250's. They are such massive, beautiful trucks. I have no need for one. Infact, if I buy one it would be such gross overkill and the most impractical big ticket item I have ever purchased. But, hey...I am single and make alot of money. This truck will only be used for driving to and from work and taking long road trips and some light offroading. I cannot stand the gas engine, so it would have to be diesel. Again, I will not be towing anything with this monster.

Talk me out of it. Or don't...

uhh... don't buy the diesel. Although it sounds like that is what you really want so regardless of what people say a young single person with money is gonna do what they want. I know cause I am kind of in the same boat. If a diesel is gonna make you happy every day you drive it then do it. Because if you settle for the f150, everytime you see an f250 you are gonna wish you had gotten one. May not be financially wise but hey that is up to you to decide

Buy the f250. I came from a 2011 f250 fx4 lariat diesel. Gorgeous truck. Stupid crazy power and stupid fast. Averaged 18mpg (my Eco only does 19). I hate myself for ever buying this half ton but that's life. Hoping to get back in to one in a couple of years.

They are happiest being worked yes. But they are also quite happy just being driven. Owned enough to know that they make amazing daily drivers and brutal work machines.

uhh.....buy the diesel.

I'm sorry but I would do nothing to stop anyone from buying a diesel, cause they're amazing. Now if they'd just offer a smaller PS for the F-150 I'd be so happy. Or somebody does a 6.7 F-150 conversion

2 things in your post:

"I have no need for it" - should be your main answer...

"I am single and make a lot of money" - this can change in a heartbeat especially in this economy
