Default taking emblems apart

I bought a pair of 09+ fender emblems for my '04 screw and i've seen that they can be taken apart making it easier to paint. I heard there were a couple clips but i cant find them. can anyone tell me how to take these jokers apart? thanks

Are you talking the f150 emblems or the ford blue ovals?

Not all 09+ F150 emblems are 2 piece. On my 2011 the F150 fender emblems were 1 piece and the F150 tailgate emblem was 2 piece. I replaced them with FX4 appearance pkg. emblems and they were all 2 piece.

I bought the FX4 Appearance Package emblems as soon as I got my new 2013 truck. All three came off in one piece, side fenders and tailgate. I used a heat gun that I borrowed from work and slowly heated the metal around the emblems to soften the 3M adhesive that holds them in place. You want to try and avoid bending the emblem while taking off so the plastic doesn't bend and leave stress marks. I have done it this way plenty of times on other vehicles.

Luckily the ones I purchased were two piece. I had to removr the adhesive off the back and there are little clips that hold the inner black piece in. They're a pita to get apart but hopefully I'll get them looking good soon.
