How easy is it to take off a tailgate that has the back up camera? I know its pretty easy to get the older ones off but I don't know much about the cables to the camera.

Remember if your tail gate lets go, it normally takes out the one of the pins holding it in place, so you have to replace the tailgate, and potentially a bedside/ or get your truck welded on.
yeah that's damn true. at this point, I only ever haul 100-400 pound air conditioners and the forklift guys can usually lay it down into the bed so its only half on the tailgate.. plus I figure if they damage it I can talk em into replacing it

The camera is a 2 second delay,it has a quick connect .
lock your tailgate and put a clamp on the pin...

my fat *** rides up a ramp on a lawn tractor ever week or so. So I am guessing 500 lbs plus. No distress yet. My old truck, a 99 never even quivered after years of that as well as hauling a 500 lb quad and my fat self.

I do not even give it a concern anymore. However much it is, just stick in in there.

Not too fond of the whole Cable thing. There was a company who made the "old scissor" style support for the new GMC/Chevy's but I cannot remember the name. I certainly feel more comfortable with that than I am with a "crush fitting" type cable. I'll buy a set as soon as I can find a manufacturer. They were Stainless and very "heavy duty".

Thanks
Dan

Your tail gate is going to fail long before the cables will
