I've decided I need to install weather stripping around my tailgate. I think having a bed cover installed creates a vacuum in the bed. I drove 100+ miles in the snow on Wednesday and when I pulled into my garage and opened the cover, I had a nice snow drift in the bed!
Searching online, there are several options around the $25-$30 price range. Then there's one made by Pace Edwards that sells for $30-$35. I'm wondering if it's any better than the others?
I dont recall the maker of my old one but it was a nice, thick, stick on version. It worked well when I first installed it BUT, after using the tailgate it started to unstick. After a while it was hanging from one side and it just kept getting worse.
I have installed a few of the screw on style and those look worse but dont come loose.
I would also love to know what products others have used to combat this problem. There appears to be too many to choose from online in the $20-$30 range, and I would rather pick wisely the first time.
Also I do a bit of landscaping from time to time and use my bed to move mulch/sand/logs. Anyone have any problems with cleaning the bed out with a seal installed?

Thanks,
That was some of the problem with the stickon. After a while dirt worked its way in behind the seal and caused it to degrade.
All the ones I've looked at attach with 3M tape, which, I've had great luck with so long as the surface is clean and warm when attached. I guess the main difference is the shape of the actual weather strip. Some are more round and less wide while others are more of a wedge shape.
I have a trailer that I use if I ever need to haul rock, dirt etc so that's not so much of a worry. My truck bed is pretty much used like a large car trunk so I would like it to seal better.
Me and my dad both have the Extang MaxSeal on our trucks. I think it works great. Just install it when the surface is clean and warm.
I have helped my dad take a few trips of yard waste to the dump and the seal has held up to having dirt, branches, grass etc shoveled over it.
