Anyone have the wiring schematic or know what color wires I need to tap into to hard wire a tailgate LED bar?
I need the left & right brake/turn wires & left & right running light wires.

 

What year is the truck? Do you have a trailer plug?

2013. Yeah, I have a trailer plug & assume I can tap into the wires from the plug, but still not sure which is which.

 

Moved to 09'-Present section.

 

You need to use a test light to verify wires prior to connecting them.

Left turn should be yellow. Right turn should be green. Parking lights should be brown.

The turn signal wires carry your brake signal.

On my 2006 I tapped into the trailer light plug. I plan on doing the same on my 2013 when the light arrives next week.

 

The trailer plug cover lists the wires, you just need to look at the back to see what color it is and tap into it further back.
