Default Tailgate badge...

WTH ?

2012 F150 XLT Supercrew, one day it had a shiny blue oval on the tailgate, next day it's missing completely - in it's place is a thin, tin, chrome-ish plate. What happened ? I didn't hit a giant pothole, didn't pry it off myself, didn't see any folks walking by the rear of the truck with a pair of pliers in hand, etc. To get the truck looking 'normal', am I now going to need to return the dealership and claim it under warranty, or visit their parts dept. to purchase a new one ? What happened to 'Quality is Job 1' ?

Not sure how it attaches. Glue or ?

You could try the warranty first. Worst case scenario, you have to buy it.

You're complaining that a two year old vehicle lost a piece of plastic and that's a quality issue? Perhaps someone stole it.

I wouldn't say that's a quality issue after two years. Bumper to bumper warranty, so go claim it.

??? That is what a warranty is for.

The black inside my fender badges on my '05 started flaking. Stopped by the dealership one morning, they put new ones on and gave me a free cup of coffee.

It really is not a big deal, relax.

Chris, when I am on my deathbed I wont give one crap about a shiny piece of plastic. Yes its annoying but keep it in perspective.
