Question Tailgate alignment adjustment?

Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the tailgate left to right? When I stare at my tailgate it seems like it need to be shifted to the right more since the gap is noticeable wider on the right than left.

I was hoping someone would reply today. I'm having the same issue you are. I wonder if a quarter could be used as a shim to space the tailgate in the direction you want ?

I was thinking about possibly cutting some aluminum plate to push the left hinge out a little more to see if that would fix the issue.

its my understanding the tailgate floats in the hinges. so maybe take off and see if something stuck on the one side pushing it to the other side or like you say... make something to keep it where you want it...... never had this though...there gotta be something causing it so to speak as usually floats right there in the middle..never noticed a excessive gap.... Hmmmm interesting.

there I go...replying to old posts again. I must be date challenged.......

Replying to old posts is just fine. I never had uneven gaps even after pulling it on and off for gravel/dirt.
