Default T9 Boeshield

so I'm getting ready to see the salt trucks on a regular basis in my neck of the woods. it's my first winter on black & machined wheels. I've heard about this stuff but never known anyone to put it on painted wheels. anyone used it? if not, what use. found a cheap set of steels and tires but not sure if I want to go that route.

I appreciate any input

Boeshield T-9 has been my go to to prevent rust for a long time. Goes on, dries then doesn't collect a lot of crap. Fluid film works well too but collects so much crap and is extremely difficult to clear off. Not gonna harm your paint or anything either which is nice.
