A/T Tire Options

Thanks from some other guy (me). In this same situation; I'd like something more aggressive than what I have (Bridgestone Dueler A/T), and am hoping the Falken Wildpeaks hold up longer - I think I have maybe 30K on the Dueler A/T's and they're down to 4/32nds. 95% of my driving is on pavement, with a bit on gravel.

I'm chime in. I've had the Falken Wildpeaks on my truck since July 2015. I currently have 80,000 miles on them and they're still holding great at 6/32nds tread. Most of my 110 mile daily commute is at highway speeds (70mph). They still grip really well in the rain, and I'm currently waiting on the snow to start falling again to see if they still have enough bite on them for one more winter. I'll snag a pic of how hurry look later today.

Michelin LTX AT2's are probably the best AT tire that'll keep excellent road handling characteristics. I had them on my last truck and absolutely loved them. I gained a full mpg over other all terrains I've used and they had 50k miles on them when I sold the truck and still had plenty of life left. With life like that, the premium you pay evens out over the long run.
They did OK off-road too as well as you know you're trucks limitations. They aren't that aggressive as far as an A/T tire, but they always got me everywhere I needed. Even when my 4WD went out and I was too lazy to fix it for 2 years the truck went everywhere I needed, both off-road in in snow.

On a side note, I think I'm going to stick with my current size, even though I don't like how narrow they are, because saving $200+ on a set of 4 going with my current size makes a lot more sense right now.

Biggest problem I see here is you're running way too much air pressure in your tires. I'm running BFG k02's load range E and running 40psi front and 35 rear. There's no weight in the rear unless you're hauling a load, that thing must bounce all over the road.
