Yikes, only 30k? I had Bridgestones on my old Expedition (Given they were non A/T Duelers), I remember that they didn't last and didn't grip anything. I kept getting free ones because they never last through the first half of the warranty period. I'll never buy Bridgestones again.

I'm chime in. I've had the Falken Wildpeaks on my truck since July 2015. I currently have 80,000 miles on them and they're still holding great at 6/32nds tread. Most of my 110 mile daily commute is at highway speeds (70mph). They still grip really well in the rain, and I'm currently waiting on the snow to start falling again to see if they still have enough bite on them for one more winter. I'll snag a pic of how hurry look later today.

Michelin LTX AT2's are probably the best AT tire that'll keep excellent road handling characteristics. I had them on my last truck and absolutely loved them. I gained a full mpg over other all terrains I've used and they had 50k miles on them when I sold the truck and still had plenty of life left. With life like that, the premium you pay evens out over the long run.

They did OK off-road too as well as you know you're trucks limitations. They aren't that aggressive as far as an A/T tire, but they always got me everywhere I needed. Even when my 4WD went out and I was too lazy to fix it for 2 years the truck went everywhere I needed, both off-road in in snow.

A pic would be appreciated! I am hearing a lot of positive things about the Wildpeaks.

You are absolutely right about the premiums and your truck's limitations. I sure do like the clean and simple look of the AT2s sidewall. over 95% of the time I'm on the road, but I'll drive on a dirt road/field and pull of the side of the road on a rainy day into some mud (I prefer not to). So if it cleans out and bites pretty well, lasts, does well on the road (dry and wet), and MAYBE helps MPG, seems well worth it.

On a side note, I think I'm going to stick with my current size, even though I don't like how narrow they are, because saving $200+ on a set of 4 going with my current size makes a lot more sense right now.

For 80k miles, that's impressive. My stock ones are the 245s and I'm going to stick with that.

I haven't noticed any increase in sound. Maybe a couple of decibels, but definitely no whomping like most mud tires have. Even my passengers comment on how minimal the noise is

Biggest problem I see here is you're running way too much air pressure in your tires. I'm running BFG k02's load range E and running 40psi front and 35 rear. There's no weight in the rear unless you're hauling a load, that thing must bounce all over the road.
