Default SYNC update problem

Hello all ,
I tried updating my SYNC software a couple days ago to version 3.81 (I think). I downloaded the software, put it on a USB stick, and plugged it into my truck. The update started and I left the car in the driveway.
However, when an came back to check on it 30mins later, the screen said that the update had failed. I tried repeating the previous process, but nothing has been working and the system is not suck with the message: "SYNC has lost connection with your USB stick. Please reconnect..." The radio is stuck on the same station and a I cant turn the heat on or use the navigation system.
I called my local ford dealer and they said that the first available appointment is on the 1st of Feb.
Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I have to deal with the issue until I get it to the dealership.

My truck is a 2014 F150 fX4 if it helps.

Thanks!

If you can access the settings menu, try performing a master reset.

If you cannot access the menu, try a power cycle by pulling fuse #2 in the passenger footwell for about 2 minutes.

Thanks for your response! Sadly I cant access the settings menu so ill have to try the second option you pointed out.
When I pull the fuse, do I turn the truck on or does it stay off? What does this fuse look like and can I just unplug it?
Thanks!

The two times I had to do it, I pulled the fuse with the truck running, then shut off the truck, plugged it back in and then restarted the truck. Took it a good 5-10 minutes to reboot once I started the truck up again.

This is what happened to me sort - of... I was updating it and it told me to reconnect my USB even though it was sitting there inserted still. I've updated numerous times prior with never an issue. Quality jump drive that I'm still using constantly to this day, formatted FAT32, etc. I left it for an hour only to come back to the same message so I pulled it and reinserted it. It said it was complete but I never got Bluetooth back. No master reset, no fuse, etc.

I ended up at the dealer for them to reboot the system and load the update. Ended up costing me over $100 and way too much time..
