Default Sync: Reverse Phonebook Names?

Anyone have this happen to them?

It just to be where i could say the person's first then last name and it would do it's thing, but now it reversed it to last then first..

Can this be changed back? And how do you do that? It's driving me crazy!!!

Me too. I'm on iPhone 4. Don't know if its a phone-dependent issue, but I spent some time changing the way contacts are displayed in my phone. Changes in my phone seemed to change the way Sync interacted, but I haven't spent the time to figure out how to get it all back to first name first, last name last.

If it is phone dependent you can check your settings under Settings->Mail,Contacts, Calendars->*near the bottom of the page it has Contacts, Sort Order and Display Order. Might check those and see what happens.

Well if that was it, man!
I use Exchange with the iPhone and this too drove me nuts. I went into Outlook and changed the First, Last in there so it would sync to the phone that way then removed the address book in the truck and re-downloaded. It fixed the issue but was very time consuming going through all my Outlook contacts changing every one of them.

I'm on an iPhone 3GS. When I voice dial my daughter on the iPhone I say "Call Lisa Young," and it works. In my truck SYNC says "No such...". But if I say "Call Young Lisa," SYNC makes the call.

It's often hard to get SYNC to understand me, and I've had to rename a dozen contacts, just to "help" SYNC. That's just a bit screwed up when you're renaming people to please your truck.
