Default Sync Maintenance

So I did a quick search a read a few older posts, but couldn't find an answer to my question....

So here goes. I have the 3.6.2 update on my 2013 FX4. Everything has been fine with it since the update (and before actually). Much improved over the previous version. Today, when dropped my son off at camp, turned off the truck, went into camp (maybe 2 minutes) came back and before I started the truck I noticed the screen said "Sync is performing scheduled maintenance". It finished in a minute or two and everything was fine.

My question though, is the system actually doing something it should be or is this just a spontaneous reboot???? Just curious if this is going to be something I am going to have to get used to in the future. I've had the truck 6 months and never had this happen....

Thanks!

I took my truck in for a TSB a week or so ago. I noticed a few differences on my dash display after that and I assume they may have upgraded my SYNC and/or my display software. I now see all my gears up the right side of the dash display. I never noticed those before. I also had the SYNC scheduled maintenance thing occur the other day. I believe it was Wednesday morning. I have not noticed any changes with the SYNC though.....

Best way to think about that is like a computer disk defragment and disk clean up. All it's really doing is cleaning the system so it can continue to run quickly and properly

Do you know that the button on the shifter makes the gears on the rigt side come on and off?
