I have a 2011 F-150 Super crew Lariat 4x4 with SYNC w/nav. About 6 months ago I noticed my nav was not working, i was getting a NO GPS on the upper left part screen so i jumped on here and researched and tried all the tricks on here with no fix. Then about a month ago my clock in the upper right went blank, i am not even able to set it, the clock menu is grayed out so to speak.
I called SYNC and they were no help they said take it to dealer for a "hard reset" so i figured what the hell. Went to dealer, they were unable to get the hard set to take as I was told and said the radio was bad, the entire unit needed replacement and its aroudn $700-800 but he was 100% sure b/c the company they buy from (United Radio) was closed, this was on a Saturday.

So I am just looking for any help, i would buy after market, but i love the factory look AND I would loose some controls mainly climate if i did that. Is there any place else to get a new one direct? is it a plug n play set up? or is there programming involved?

Look in the aftermarket section of the forum, https://www.f150forum.com/f30/ several others have replaced their oem units with much better stereo's and you don't lose your a/c controls.
