Default Sync fuse question

I have a 2010 XLT with Sync. Today, Sync began not recognizing my iPod. I've already reset and re-synced the iPod to my computer, and the results are the same, so I'm now assuming the problem to be with Sync. I'd like to try pulling the Sync fuse to reset the system. However, I have two phones paired via Bluetooth to Sync, and I don't wish to foul that up. If I pull the fuse, will I have to re-pair the phones?

An answer from anyone who's been there and done that would be greatly appreciated.
