after three years of perfect usage of my sync phone, with my (track phone) cell phone - - - it started dropping the calls. Wouldn't stay connected for more than a minute or less. Wouldn't "hook up" with the cell unless I initiated it by asking sync to use phone. Then it would drop the connection within a minute.
I tried pulling the fuse, tried reset, nothing helped until -- - - I pulled the battery out of my cell phone. Cleaned all the battery compartment and terminals. That was two weeks ago and it has worked perfectly since. I'm surprised. Cell phone battery connection, - - - who would have thought? Just letting you all know.

 

I was just told by my buddy who has 2013 FX4 his was doing the same with his iph, he said there is an up date in your stereo, my iph works great still but my new android won't and the old one did.......


I going to see if I have the up date on my sync...haven't checked yet...

I had the same thing happen. I contacted the SYNC lady on the Mustang forum, and she told me to remove the battery from my phone for a few minutes. I thought yeah right......but it worked. I stood corrected.
