Has anyone ever put an aftermarket head unit in where the green dot matrix display is located on a 2011 XLT? Is there anything I can do differently with that space? I currently have an iPad where my stereo buttons go. I'm looking at trying to replace the factory head unit with something better, but I don't know where to put it!

 

It seems that I remember someone putting a radio down in the useless lower cubby at the bottom of the center stack. I have not seen anyone put a DIN unit above.
