I can pair my iphone with my truck but have NEVER been able to have the audio play through the speakers. I give up and disconnect the pairing but when traveling on road trips in multiple cars it would really be nice to have phone calls come though the truck's audio. I've tried everything I can think of but have failed every time. Is there a magic combination or is this just an incompatibility between Sync and current technology.

 

Could be if your truck and your phone have both been updated to the latest software/firmware. You could also possibly need to turn the volume up on your phone all the way up.

 

phone volume wide open / can these old sync systems still be updated ? I've looked and found nothing for this 1st gen.
