Does this also fix the dreaded "won't automatically hook up to Bluetooth when I get in the car problem" problem does it?

"A Ford spokesperson confirmed to CNET that the upgrade would still not be compatible with MyFord Touch-equipped cars."

I didn't think this works with MFT. From the Ford site.
Please note: SYNC AppLink is available on select models and compatible with select smartphone platforms. SYNC AppLink is not compatible with MyFord Touch. Commands may vary by phone and SYNC AppLink software.

It doesn't appear to be available from the website yet.

I'm on Gen1 - V4.1.2.F and the website says I still have the current latest version.

Is this something you HAVE to go to the dealer for? I'd like to be able to install it myself.

I updated my 2010 f150 when I got it. It says gen 1 v3.1 and it says it's up to date. So I'm confused why don't I have 4.2.1? I haven't tried any app link apps I have an iPod always plugged in.

The V4.2.1.4 is a dealer install update only. Now if your using USB 2 be aware that the new version will not voice recognize USB 2 any more. USB 2 will still work but if you have something plugged into USB 1 it will not let you switch to USB 2 unless you unplug USB 1. Just a FYI.

Just an FYI for anyone who is a member of the sync my ride site, It says my sync is up to date with version 4.0.2 even though there is 4.1.2

I had to contact the sync rep to confirm that mine was not up to date.
