Question SYNC, am I missing something?

Using SYNC is like listening to an old LP on a record player with a worn needle. On a scale of 1 to 10, it gets a negative 2. So what's all the HYPE?
My Sony radio with Sirius Travel Link blows SYNC out of the water.

Maybe I'm missing some good mobile apps?

The health report thing was interesting, but...eh...overall, I'm not impressed.

Like I asked, am I missing something????

Check out the multiple threads on here. Seems like most people have more bad to say than good about sync. I was a little disappointed that my truck didn't have it when I bought it, but after using it in our fiesta. I'm glad my truck didn't come with it. I don't mean to start a software war, but I think it would've been a lot better if Ford used Apple instead of Microsoft. Siri on my iPhone works great all the time lol

If you're using bluetooth audio...there's your problem. Bluetooth audio is not near as high fidelity as hooking it up with the usb cord. SYNC will only sound as good as the device that's connected to it. I haven't had a problem with the SYNC in my truck at all.

Interesting. Thanks. I will give that a try.

However, my HTC Rezound with BEATS audio sounds pretty decent on Bluetooth.

I love my Sync. Maybe I'm the lucky one. It does everything I ask it to do, plays by bluetooth audio when I ask it to, dials and answers my phone and understands my commands.

Maybe I'm missing something.

I like it and use it all the time - especially for phone calls.

Here is my question, as I have not used the USB cable myself either as I just bought my truck, is it USB 2.0 and will it charge my device through the USB cable?

It charges my iPod when I have it plugged in through USB.

The Bluetooth sound quality depends on the device you are using. iPhone 4 and 4s offer a very high bit rate the Sony nav system accommodates this higher rates. My phone though bluetooth sounds much better than xm radio.
