Sync add-on wiring help.
I have an 09 STX and it didn't come with sync so it also didn't have steering wheel controls, I replaced the steering wheel with a leather wrapped that had the controls. I got the audio portion of the controls working by modding the the ACM as built data so thats all good.
I then tackled adding sync, I bought the harness from the sync accessory kit, and a sync module off ebay, and got it hooked up which it works to an extent, (my phone connects and plays music, also the seek buttons change songs so all good) the problem is that the phone, ok, and voice buttons don't work.
The harness is meant to have an external control pad hooked to it for those three buttons, the connector on that harness for the control pad has 4 wires, red, black, blue, cream and in the C290A plug on that harness has a blue and cream in port 5 & 6. Yet my trucks factory connector doesn't probably due to the fact that it didn't come with sync.
Im trying to figure out the wiring at the steering wheel with the switch so that I can connect these two wires and hopefully get them to control sync. That is if those wire are doing what I believe they are doing which would be controlling sync.
Also where would be a good place to tap into the HS Can +/-? This harness has the wires I just need somewhere in the truck to tap them into.
Has anybody ever done this? If so which wires do I need to connect to in the column? or does anybody have a wiring diagram for a 09? All the ones I can seem to find are for a 11+.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Color me impressed man, I don't know why I haven't seen this thread until now, and it's too bad you couldn't find the answers you were looking for. I do have some questions about your current setup though if you don't mind. I'll send a private message and we can chat, I'd appreciate it.
