Sync 4.4 or 4.6 Files
#21
The update is still failing when I used the link above - I am guessing that it is because I have the basic Gen1 Sync in my truck (no nav, no touch screen, etc). And, I still get the same web page error when I try to download it from the Ford owners site. I would love to give your copy a shot and see if I have any better luck.

Well, I have tried every single copy of the software that I have been able to find, or has been sent to me, and all I can get from my truck is "File not Found". I have tried 5 different thumb drives (all formatted FAT32) and copied the files to it in every single conceivable manner with absolutely no luck whatsoever. And yes, I am simply unzipping the source file and copying it to the root of a freshly formatted thumb drive - none of the files within the source are being altered or unzipped.
Ford's IVT and Sync support teams are about as useful as Anne Frank's drum kit, so I guess that I am stuck with the dud unit that Ford installed in my truck for the foreseeable future. Thanks to all that have offered copies of their files for me to use.

I have configured the drives on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 - all yield the same 'File not Found' result.
I have performed both 'Restore Defaults' as well as a 'Master Reset' and have even gone so far as to pull the battery for five minutes to reset anything else. Upon trying to install the update, I still get 'File not Found'.

I have tried doing that, both with the built in Windows utility, as well as my preferred application, 7Zip. Still generates 'File not Found' as a result
