Switch relay wiring question
Just wondering if I can wire a group of switches or relays in series (jumper wire from same power supply between switches) or if I need to wire them parallel (main power wire branched of into multiple directions.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Again, just my opinion, but parallel is the way to go.
IMO to run them in series would create the potential for heat and voltage drop for the switches at the end of the line (because of so many connections). Running in parallel would have fewer connections between the power supply and the switch. Also, what if a connection or switch went bad in a series setup? You would lose everything down the line and spend time hunting for the problem. Again, just my opinion, but parallel is the way to go.
