You could always upload a video to YouTube and post the link... I am very interesting in how this will sound. I have a raptor exhaust that I put on my 2010 fx4 that I took off before trading it in and considered putting it on my EB. I wonder how it will affect the MPGs...

You probably already know this by now, but the Raptor cat back exhaust you bought was from a 2010 5.4, that is why it didn't come with a resonator. It didn't need one as the muffler itself was tuned to remove drone and only the newer 6.2's needed the extra resonator past the cat's to remove drone as those engines put out quite a lot of exhaust gases that were bypassing the sound-deading materials of the muffler. I am guessing that if you wanted a little more growl, which you might not, you could remove that extra resonator and would be good without any drone as I can't see that smaller ecoboost engine putting out as much exhaust volume as the 6.2 did and might be close to the what the 5.4 did stock. Certainly not claiming anything, just trying to be informative.

Actually, now that I am thinking about it, the extra resonator is probably helping to keep you in your power band as the extra backpressure from it is offsetting the freeer flowing 3" tubing which would likely have robbed you of some torque/power.

Pat, thanks for the link to this thread. Man, that exhaust looks good. The truck is going to be sweet when you get all the mods done.

Last vid I did was in the garage. I propped the phone up on a bucket and against the wall and then pointed it towards the exhaust. Worked good for startup and revving. Make it happen....we want to hear!

I hope this works. I made a startup video today, as requested by some members. It's not the best quality but it will do for a first video. http://s8.beta.photobucket.com/user/...94fd1.mp4.html

So are you happy with the mod overall? I am debating whether or not to put my raptor exhaust on my ecoboost... do you notice a mpg difference?

Bump that question, and with some fabrication is it possible to install on a 6.5' bed?
