Default Was supposed to have a new truck today.

I got a call on Saturday, my special order truck was delivered, cool! Set up an appointment to pick it up Monday (Today.)

Just got a call from my dealer, apparently the transport company damaged the truck. (WTF....)

Cargo light is busted, dent on the edge of the light.

Roof is scratched, hood is scratched....

Dent in B-pillar.

Told him I'm coming up there to see it for myself, then going to make a judgement call.

Should I accept the truck, if there are some concessions? I haven't seen it yet, some I'm not quite sure what the damage is going to be.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but I wouldn't take the truck. You've waited for some time I'm sure, but waiting a bit longer for brand new truck would be worth it in my opinion. That's what you paid for. Not a new truck that got damaged in transport, only to be fixed like new. Now, if you really can't wait any longer and you really need it, then ask for some discounts, accessories, or other services to compensate for the inconvenience in addition to it being fixed. In my opinion, I would wait it out, theres no telling what kind of half *** work they will do to the truck to save some money on their end. Hope it all works out.

It would have to be deeply discounted and fixed 100% for me to accept. I probably would make them re-order. I've walked away before over a door ding.

Ona side note, when I picked up my F150 I walked around it 10 times and looked from every angle before I signed. Less than 36 hrs later I had a nice door ding on the passenger side from out of the blue.

I'm surprised they couldn't find a build the way you wanted it (Blue Flame FX4 w/ 402A, moonroof and nav).

I wouldn't accept it myself - especially if you're not in a hurry.

I was pretty specific in my build...the 6.5' bed w/ 3.73 rear axle is what made it rare. Especially since there were other things I didn't want, like the 20" wheels, tailgate step etc.

Obviously I'm trying to not let emotion get in the way with this, I've waited 5 weeks, so I really want it now. This has really thrown a wet blanket on everything though.

if it is a 2014 than i would not except it. 2013 then i would have to see it after repairs made to make a decision. either way wait till repaired, in the mean time order another so you want fall any further behind. if the repair and money is right, the dealer can cancel other truck. i had a friend that ordered a new car and the transport co. dropped a big *** chain on the hood, replace the hood and painted it about a 1.5 years later the hood looked awful.

Constantly. Back in the summer/fall of 08, when the 09's started to show up on our lot, i painted close to 10 trucks right away. All from transport damage. One was my bosses demo Harley truck. They were all minor things...but they all had a disclaimer that they were repaired in some way.

Hope it all works out for you OP.
