There is some difference in the mount around the edge of the door the contour doesn't extend as far forward as the SD but other than that it's the same mirror. Order the 2013 f150 max tow mirrors & they should just bolt right up

That's a lot of money for 2 marker lights!
Do you need tow mirrors or just want the look?

It just depends on how your F150 mirrors are wired. If you have the F150 mirrors that has power heated/folding then you can add the SD mirrors and it will perform same function. What it wont do is power extend. To do this extra function requires a different wire harness and switch board on driver door. That is where it can get costly. But other than that function the Tow Mirrors will bolt right on with a plug/play harness. I think rockauto.com has the tow mirrors for aftermarket, Ford OEM's run serious $$$.

I don't have power fold stock so I don't need that option I just wish the aftermarket came with clearance lights I'm afraid adding some modules on will look cheap and tacky

There was someone on here that put on some recon LED clearance lights on his tow mirrors, he did a nice write up with pics.

It look pretty good.

yuke, if you don't have power fold, do you even have an amber turn signal on current mirrors, because if you don't then basically the SD tow mirrors wont do anything, they wont fold, extend,or even light up because it needs similar harness to connect and turn lights on. I would go by dealer and ask them what you can add and how much it would cost. I know that when I priced out the mirrors at dealer on a 5.0 it was like $1200 add-on and more if I wanted the power extend. I thought rockauto.com had the amber light on there mirrors..

I do not have the light on my current mirrors but im told they will work if I buy them with the inside turn signals. If I have to so a little moding so be it. I really want mirrors with amber on the front and rear of the mirror not just the rear

I got the tow mirrors on my Max Tow and there is no rear amber light on reverse side just the outside (front) of the mirrors. One light for driving and the other for the turn signal but no other amber lights. What are you looking at that has it because its not on this FORD OEM mirror.
