Default Super 44 or 40

I have a 97 F-150 and it has a hole in the factory muffler. I'm planning on purchasing a Flowmaster for it....however I want something that sounds good and is good for performance. I'm trying to decide between a basic 40 series or a Super 44. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You're probably better off posting in the section of the forum that includes your 97 F150. That said, Flowmasters aren't good for performance, a straight through design muffler is superior. Magnaflow, Gibson, and Borla have some good options. If you're dead set on a chambered muffler, get a Summit Racing 2 Chamber muffler. They're identical to Flowmaster 40s for half the cost.

50 Series, I had that on my 03 and got compliments on it all the time.

No muffler is going to increase performance, only change sound. I wouldn't kick a dead mule in the **** for a Flowmaster. Go with Magnaflow and never look back.

I really can't think of ANY reason I'd do that.
