Default Stupid traction control

So we had a little bad weather today and my brand new truck won't pull out a stuck bus bc the traction control keeps cutting power. I don't know if it's the combo of a 1/2 ton and the worthless pirellis that are on here but I'm very disappointed. My dads chevy turns t/c off in 4hi, why couldn't ford do something like this?

+1, they allowed you to turn it off for a reason.

Push the button.

How are you turning it off?

One button push should turn TC off, but as soon as the truck gets sideways it will stop it.

Hold the button for a while and it turns everything off until you get to 35mph

If you need more than that, pull the fuses.

Yea I pushed and held the button and it still kicked back on when it slipped. Granted it was floored but it still kicked t/c back on. It does turn off in 4low but 4 hi would make things easier. I'll be pulling some fuses next time.

If you had it floored trying to pull out a bus you had zero traction to start with. It doesn't matter how fast your wheels are spinning when you're pulling someone out, only how much traction you're getting.

Go in 4 low and if that isn't budging it then try to find a way to maximize your traction. Spinning your wheels may be fun but isn't effective.

Agreed.

Lots of smoke and noise....very little pull.
