Another reason I wish I had the flow through console instead of the column shifter

Nobody said the transmissions were alike. I said the Select Shift transmission emulates the paddle shifter transmissions in expensive sports cars. Whether in a Porsche with paddle shifters or my F-150 with +/- buttons, the driver can manually shift the gears when he decides to shift, instead of a computer deciding when to shift gears.

Probably because the column shifter is harder to access. It is a pain IMO.

My wifes Malibu has it in the console and it is great for mountain driving to be able to maintain speed.

If it is not available on the column shifter, that may be why. I don't know if it is or not. My fx4 has it on the console shifter. My old duramax work truck had the manual shift buttons on the column shifter and it was not ergonomic at all. That would be my issue with the f-150 as well if it was on the column.

I wasn't disagreeing with you just clarifying further on the exact difference for people who don't know. Just trying to add some info to the discussion.

Further to that I'd love to have a dct in my truck. The current one is good, but a dct would be so much better. Don't know that I'd want to pay for the amount of dct fliud it would need for every service though. Especially at their current prices.
