Exclamation Stuck Throttle

I joined this forum tonight because of the problem I am having with my truck. I was getting on the freeway and some guy was trying to cut me off so I stomped on it. When I let off the gas the truck kept going wide open. I hit the brakes. still going. I put my foot under the accelerator. Still going. I turned the ignition off and coasted to a stop on the shoulder. After I stopped shaking. I got out and inspected the accelerator pedal. All clear no floor mat wadded around the accelerator. I started the truck up and drove fine home. I took the truck to the dealership. They said they went all over the truck and found nothing wrong. I pulled the driver side floormat and put it in the backseat. On the way home I floored it. Everything fine. I floored it again. This time I let it go through a couple gears and get up to 70 or so. Stuck again. Turned off ignition. Everything fine. Floored it to 70 again. Stuck. Anybody heard of this?

Crazy. Seeing you can replicate it, why haven't you taken it to a dealer yet?

What year model?
What engine?
What ...

Very dangerous situation. The 2012 is supposed to have brake over acceleration protection, meaning that the brakes override the accelerator to avoid this exact situation. If that isn't working, Ford should be very concerned.

From the manual..

Brake over accelerator
This vehicle is equipped with a brake over accelerator feature. In the
event the accelerator pedal becomes stuck or entrapped, applying steady
and firm pressure to the brake pedal will both slow the vehicle and
reduce engine power. If you experience this condition, apply the brakes
and bring your vehicle to a safe stop. Turn the engine off, shift to P
(Park) and apply the parking brake, and then inspect the accelerator
pedal for any interferences. If none are found and the condition persists,
have your vehicle towed to the nearest authorized dealer.
