Waiting on my evap coil to come in. Dealer said they redesigned the part. Time will tell if that fixes the problem.

I have to admit I really didn't keep up on this thread since the deodorizer treatment I received last year worked and I really didn't want my dash torn down.
This year the smell is back. I made a point of telling my dealer this is the 3rd time I've complained about the same thing, suddenly they be found a TSB for this issue. My parts should be in next week. Hopefully this time it works

Parts, that means they are taking it out and putting a new one in.

Smell is only there for about 30 seconds when I first start the truck and I have lots of warranty left so I'm not in a big hurry....just want a permanent fix

Can you post the TSB number?

If my ex lives nearby, that could be your problem. She always left something behind...

I'm leaving on vacation Wednesday night so there's no way I'll get the truck back to the dealer before then but as soon as it's all done I'll be more than happy to post the TSB #

So it will smell again next spring? And I assume you'll be out of warranty.

Mine was replaced last August and I still get the smell on startup but it is nowhere near as bad as it once was. It goes away in seconds.

Well, just got a call from the dealership. New evap is now on back order, not sure when it will be in.
