Just my opinion, but I wouldn't let that crap go. They didn't tell you anything about it, whoever did it must have had no prior practice... It looks like crap, I have a feeling it will cause you hell in some way in the future. You bought a brand new truck. I would have them take that **** off or get me a new truck. There would definitely not be a killswitch on there halfass wired that they didn't feel the need to tell me about.

Yeah, very little info to non, I have to ask the dealer where they got it and what benefit is there to having it, it's an eye sore having unplugged but I wouldn't mind hooking it back on if it helps keep it parked on the drive way wile I'm out of town.

Startloc is a "security system" designed cheaply for dealers to put on their cars in their lots. I had saw this 10 years ago where dealers were putting these on vehicles in the lot and charging $500 for the "add on". They are less than $50 in parts when they were being sold. It's very cheap, their website doesn't even work anymore. I don't even know if they are being sold anymore, pretty positive they are out of business.
I'm almost wondering if maybe your dealer just still has a metric **** ton of these things and is just putting them on everything. Guessing they never tried to upsell you on the security system, they probably knew they wouldn't get it from you and didn't say a word.
Another thing I would recommend is checking the wire from your starter, it's probably been cut and has a fuse in line... Personally I would remove it all, use some adhesive lines shrink tubing on tapped points and be done with it.

That's definitely solid advise, I'll remove it. Dealer never said anything, I just told them to remove the need to hit the lock button on the fob twice so I can turn it on, I guess they just unplugged it and left it there.

I'm with the majority here. Take it back to the dealer and ask them WTF they were thinking!
I'd be super pissed if my brand new truck had a modification like that and I was unaware of it. Someone, somewhere on here once said that if the truck is materially different than what the contract shows, the contract is null and void.
It's a brand new truck. Don't let this go.

Opinionated Blowhard
^^^^Ditto...
It's not on the paperwork, it's a crappy installation, it may cause problems down the road. The bottom line is that it isn't your problem, it's theirs. Keep your pictures and document every contact with the dealer as evidence in case you have a warranty claim due to shorts or malfunctions. It's little things like this that can turn into huge headaches in the future.
You might also want to be present when they remove it, because if they just yank wires and don't repair the areas that were tapped or fused, then that will be trouble (fire hazard) down the line.

A friend of mine owns one of the bigger dealerships around here. Everyone of the units has a gps installed while its for sale. Wonder if you dealer did something similar but forgot to uninstall that.
