Default Stop Shipment On All 2013 F150's

I called Ford to ask why my truck that was built 10/9/12 has not left the facility. My first ETA was 10/15/12, then changed to 10/19/12. Scott, a regional customer service manager just left me a message stating there is a stop shipment as of 10/16/12 on all F150's. No current release date as of yet. He said as soon as there is a release date he will let me know. Anyone else hear of this yet?

Usually stop shipment is caused by a part issue/concern/shortage. If guess there is a supplier problem of a trim type of part that allows the assembly line to continue to run and then once the supplier gets up and running with the problem resolved the trucks can be retrofitted.
You might be able to get the real reason on blue oval.

Exactly this. If you search through the old threads for folks watching their orders, these happen a lot. It could be anything from a QC issue, in which case be glad they're fixing it instead of shipping it, to a parts delay.

Either way, enjoy the anticipation. It's torture, but it's the good kind.

I remember when the Tuxedo black paint wasn't being shipped after the tsunami, and something about Nav trucks being delayed at one time.

Could be an internal union dispute at the F150 plant, usually over Cheetos in the snack machine, or something equally catastrophic.... could be that. lol

Thinking more of a Q.C. issue as mine was aready built and on the ramp awaiting shipment when the stoppage occured.
